Scripture of the Day, John 3:19-20

Tuesday, October 16, 2007 14:11 by Charles B. Lowers

Jesus says in John 3:19-20:

This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but men loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil.  Everyone who does evil hates the light, and will not come into the light for fear that his deeds will be exposed.  But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what he has done has been done through God.

Scripture of the Day, Matthew 19:23-26

Tuesday, October 16, 2007 00:05 by Charles B. Lowers

Matthew 19:23-26...

Then Jesus said to his disciples, "I tell you the truth, it is hard for a rich man to enter the kingdom of heaven. Again I tell you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God."

When the disciples heard this, they were greatly astonished and asked, "Who then can be saved?"

Jesus looked at them and said, "With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible."
