Delegating Your Children to Strangers

Friday, October 12, 2007 11:39 by Charles B. Lowers

Here is a sad story of an 11-year-old girl flying alone from Atlanta to San Diego being molested by a passenger.  The parents have filed a lawsuit against the airline.

Can we sue the parents for dereliction of duty?!?

Our society has become so conditioned to the public-school mentality of dropping off our children with strangers that parents would actually entrust their child to a stewardess and hundreds of other strangers - doped up on the hard liquor readily being served and enclosed in a loud, dark room.

Would you trust your child to a strange barmaid and an assigned booth in a bar for three to six hours, just because you slipped the barmaid $20?

Perhaps it is an easier decision when your heart has been callused by years of daycare, nannies, babysitters, and school.

Kathy likes to use this analogy for the ladies, would you leave your purse with a complete stranger all day?  Then why would you ever leave your child with a complete stranger?

"But I know my child's teacher is a Christian."  ReallyReallyReallyReally?
